Property preparation checklist

How to get your property ready for the domizello production session

The 3D tour captures every corner of the property exactly as it is on the day of the shoot. What a photo hides, the tour shows, so an hour with this list before the team arrives is well spent. A prepared property is produced faster and looks better online.

  • Store what is not needed in the garage or a storage room.
  • Make sure the planned areas are accessible at the agreed time.
  • Consider pressure washing the exterior, sidewalks and pathways.

Patio, terrace and balcony

  • Set out the outdoor furniture as it is used: cushions on chairs and loungers, tables clear or simply laid.
  • Open the umbrellas and awnings.
  • Sweep the floor and remove leaves; if you hose it down, let it dry before the session.
  • Put away hoses, tools, cleaning products, bins and clothes racks.
  • Barbecue clean and without ashes; grill covers removed.
  • Pool clean and uncovered, without the cleaning robot, hoses or pool toys.

Pets

  • Put away every sign of pets: beds, bowls, toys, litter boxes.
  • Pets cannot be in the property during the shoot.

On the day of the shoot

  • No cars parked in front of the building or in the areas to be photographed.

  • All lights on and the blinds open.
  • Cushions out and umbrellas open on the patio or terrace.

If the property is rented or used as an office

  • Let tenants know about the shoot in advance and what is needed from them.
  • Ask them to remove any personal belongings they do not want captured.
  • Desks cleared and tidy; no personal or confidential material in view.
  • Whiteboards wiped.
  • Garbage emptied and bins out of sight.

Please respect the production team's time

  • Be ready before the agreed time.
  • The team does not help with staging or tidying.
  • The team does not move furniture.
  • The team does not wait while rooms are prepared one by one.

Arrival and handover

  • A designated adult opens the property at the agreed time.
  • Before the shoot starts, they walk the team through: planned areas, spaces excluded from the tour, alarms and access.
  • They may leave during the shoot but stay reachable by phone.
  • They return at the planned end time. The team hands the property back to them when it leaves.
  • The designated person closes up: lights, windows, doors and alarm.
  • The domizello team does not receive or hold keys at any point.

What your agreement expects on shoot day

Plain-language summary; the signed agreement is the text that governs.

  • The team needs access to every interior space to produce accurate floor plans and a complete tour.
  • If a space must stay out of the tour and the photos, say so in writing before the shoot.
  • Pets and people out of the property during the shoot, except the designated person.
  • An adult must be present at the agreed time. If nobody opens, it counts as a same-day cancellation.
  • If the shoot runs far longer than planned because the property was not prepared, the extra time may be billed.
